A recap on Grow a Garden.
Coming out made by Adrian as a small game, it was dismissed as just a simulator game as it had nothing much in it.
Jandel, a big Roblox dev, maker of Wacky Wizards, Deadly Decisions, and more, he bought the game.
It gained loads of popularity over time.
I mean WORLD RECORD BREAKING loads.
What made so many people play it? Maybe it was the seed shop mechanic, enticing people to get on every 5 minutes to get the beanstalk or whatever. Maybe it was the events, people striving to get all the cool pets and seeds before they went away. Maybe it was because their friends played it, and it was fun with friends. Whatever it may be, it worked.
It also could be their 'Admin Abuses' where players had a chance to get rare stuff and fun events and weather hosted specially by the developers and admins of the game.
So much fun with friends. I liked Summer Harvest A LOT. I joined mid Lunar and I liked Summer Harvest more than any other. Why? Hopping on and coordinating with friends every hour was fun, doing cool activities, etc.
Ok, now, while GAG was having collabs and having wild events, a new game, a copycat, of GAG was on the rise. Steal a Brainrot. That game blatantly stole just so much. So many people switched games. Well, no matter, the two giants will have a war. Welp, that was so insane Roblox servers crashed and broke WORLD RECORDS of CCU. That's insane!
Well, silently creeping up was August. Most players were young and still in school, right? So people couldn't play as much as they had studying and school and homework and... well you get the point. Both games started dying. But not just that, GAG's updates became just dryer. The game is dying. That's what. They lost so many developers, so many updates are now dry and cheap. It was a great start and yet a bad fall.
Many memories may have come, but now, it's just a skeleton of what was once a great game that should've deserved better.
