What I mean is that this context here is serious and requests formality, and any abbreviations in this context/just “stawp” itself isn’t serious nor formal. “Stawp” is a joking way of saying “stop” so what I meant was that it was better to use “stop” instead, because the other way is not appropriate for the context/subject.

Okay. I’m sorry for making it seem like I was intending it to be offensive and/or rude. I did not intend it as either of those things. Just was telling you it might not be the best thing to say in a formal context. Please, do not take any more offence from this. It was not intended that way nor (in my view) appeared that way.

“Stawp” is informal, that’s what I meant. And “stop” is more formal, so it’s the better thing to use in this context. I was not targeting, simply correcting with the intent to help.

You don’t need to use a full stop to be formal. Plus, that’s just not how people talk often… and I didn’t mean it in a rude way, just “stawp” is informal in this context and it doesn’t make a lot of sense. That’s why I mentioned it in the first place, because the context is formal and you are using something very informal and used in joking ways.
